In Loving Memory of Grandma Shirley

Lillian Shirley, age 89 of Farragut, formerly of Tampa, FL, Scottsdale, AZ and Tecumseh, MI went to be with the Lord Friday evening, June 6, 2008. Lillian was a faithful member of the local Nazarene churches where she resided and enjoyed serving in missionary work. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lillian loved to travel throughout the country on camping trips with her family. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and sewing, creating many beautiful quilts for her family to cherish. Lillian is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit, MI. She became a Dietitian and worked several years to put her children through college. She was preceded in death by her parents, Deforest Perl (DP) Clark and Olive Clark Snedecor. Survived by her husband, Floyd Shirley; children, Kathleen Sutherland of Durand, MI and Alice Carey of Lenoir City, TN; four grandchildren, Susan Sailors of Burnsville, MN, Amanda Gilbert of Lenoir City, TN, Andrea Compton of Jacksonville, FL and Brian Gelakoski of Tampa, FL; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister, Margaret MacDonald of Meridian, ID and brother, William Clark of Phoenix, AZ. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Pastor Rick Shelton officiating. My Grandma, Noah's Great-Grandma, was a very special woman! She had a sweet way with everyone! She will be missed very much! We love you Grandma!!!
